We are hosting a toy and food drive this November! This drive is in partnership with the York Region Police and it runs from Monday, November 10th to Monday, December 1st.
Students are welcome to bring a brand new, unwrapped toy and place it in the bin inside their classes. They can also bring a non-perishable food item for the food drive.
We look forward to helping our community. Let’s go, GATORS!
Remembrance Day

On November 11th, Students will pause for a moment of silence to think about and remember those who have served and sacrificed and/or been impacted by war.
Kiss and Ride Reminder

With the colder weather approaching, we anticipate a much busier Kiss and Ride area. Recently, we have noticed an increase in parents parking and leaving their vehicles to walk their children to the entry gate and entry doors which has caused our Kiss and Ride to be blocked and backed up in some areas. If you wish to walk your child to their designated entry gate or entry door, you may use one of the available parking spots in our side parking lot. We would like to keep the Kiss and Ride area running efficiently so that all of our students can get inside on time. Please note, students are permitted to enter through the side doors beside the Kindergarten entry gate. Thank you for your cooperation.
Nov. 21 is a PA Day
There is no school for students on Friday, November 21 as it is a Professional Activity Day for staff.

Dressing for the Weather
With the weather now changing and temperatures dropping, please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for outdoor learning and play. Students are outside for at least 1 hour every day, (morning and lunch recesses and outdoor learning time), so please consider sending your child with layers so that they won't be cold when outdoors. Students should also have a pair of indoor shoes to be worn in school.
To help ensure that students’ items are returned to them when they are misplaced or lost, please consider labelling all of your child(ren)’s clothes with their names. You may also choose to support our school fundraiser by purchasing Mabel’s Labels. Visit https://bit.ly/4orHYWk and enter Phoebe Gilman.

Enjoy a Family Pizza Night and support Phoebe Gilman Public School! 🍕
