Complete the survey. Families, your feedback will help us understand:

What factors families consider when registering for Kindergarten or Grade 1.

Where families go to find information about Kindergarten.

This survey will take about 5-10 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous and confidential.  The results will be used to inform Kindergarten planning.  Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. For more information about the survey, please visit the board website.

EQAO

Each year, EQAO publicly reports on the results of its online provincial assessments. EQAO data acts as one measure used to determine whether students are meeting expectations in reading, writing, and mathematics. The EQAO assessments also include student surveys that provide insight into students’ attitudes and perceptions about their learning. EQAO results at the elementary school level do not have any impact on student report card marks. EQAO released the assessment results for the 2024-2025 school year. EQAO has assessment data on its website, available through a search function, along with interactive dashboards to view assessments and questionnaire data at the school, school board, and provincial levels. Families can use this dashboard to look at the assessment data for the students at Phoebe Gilman and at the YRDSB as a whole. Individual Student Reports (ISRs) for the Assessments of Reading, Writing, and Mathematics in the Primary and Junior Divisions for the 2024-2025 school year have been sent home with last year’s Grade 3 and  Grade 6 students so that families can review their child’s results.
